3 New Ways to Make Your Broadband Internet Run Extremely Fast!! ;);)
Broadband is becoming extremely popular around the World, but as many people are now discovering - having a fast broadband connection doesn't always mean that you will get to browse the Internet quickly, or watch movies online, etc. If your Internet connection is running slowly, you may wish to try these 3 new methods to boost its speed. These are extremely simple techniques, but are amazingly effective. Here's what you need to do...
1) Close other programs - Having programs installed on your PC is a great way to expand your computer's functionality, but it can also lead your Internet to run slowly as well. Not many people realize this, but most of the programs available will actually continually try and use your Internet connection to get data. Programs such as Instant Messengers, iTunes & others, will continually get Internet data each time they are running. This is okay, but it means that if you want to browse the Internet or play a game, your connection speed is going to be seriously hampered. To ensure this is not a problem, you need to close down all the other applications that your system has running, making your PC able to focus all its bandwidth on the program you want.
2) Check network usage - You will also need to make sure that any network usage is monitored. The problem many people have is that they will have up to 10 PCs on a home / office network, and have all those PCs trying to use the same Internet connection. To ensure this is not a problem, you need to look at any of the network computers and make sure they are not "hogging" too much bandwidth, by using email programs, online games or instant messengers.
3) Clean out the registry - This is one of the most beneficial ways to boost the speed of your Internet connection, because most computers have serious problems with the 'registry'. The registry is basically a central database which stores vital settings for your computer, and is used constantly by your system & applications. Every time you use your computer, it's constantly reading 100's of settings to allow it to run as smoothly as possible, but unfortunately, many of them will either become damaged or corrupted. This forces your system to take longer to read the files it needs to run, slowing it down. This might seem like a trivial problem, but if your web browser, or online game, is unable to load up quickly because of registry errors, it means that your Internet will appear to be slower, although it might not be. Fortunately, it's very easy to fix this type of problem - by using a "registry cleaner" application. These are software tools you can install on your system, and will fix all the damaged registry settings that are causing your PC to run slower.
